Finding the Magic in the Busy: A Little December Update from Me

If you’re new here—hello! I’m Krissi, the human behind Love My Lot. This time of year is my favourite: twinkly lights, cosy pyjamas, and parcels full of snuggly gifts heading out to lovely people like you. It’s also the time I sit with a hot chocolate and reflect on how far we’ve come.

This autumn brought two big pieces of news for our family: my son received an official autism diagnosis along with a speech and language disorder. None of it changes who he is—our joyful, curious boy—it simply gives us language, support, and a path forward. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to secure his EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan), chase appointments, and put the right scaffolding around him so he can thrive.

All of that has happened alongside the usual small-business juggle: unpacking deliveries, photographing new arrivals, answering your messages, and wrapping orders with care and love. I won’t pretend it’s always easy, but I’m endlessly grateful I get to build this little shop while being the mum my children need.
