A Little Life Update from Love My Lot

It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes here at Love My Lot — a real mix of family life, planning, paperwork, exciting new arrivals, and those first little hints that summer might finally be on its way.

Some of you may know that I run Love My Lot alongside family life, and recently a lot of my time has been spent finalising things for my little boy to start at a specialist school in September. There have been forms, meetings, planning, arranging therapies, sessions and all the little pieces that go into making sure he has the right support around him.

It’s been a lot, but also a really important step for our family. Like so many parents, I’m constantly juggling work, appointments, children, home life and all the emotions that come with trying to do the very best for your little ones. So if things have felt a little busy here lately, that’s partly why.

But in between all of that, there has also been so much excitement at Love My Lot HQ.

With the recent lovely weather, it really has started to feel like summer is just around the corner. The doors are open, the children are wanting to be outside more, and I’ve found myself drawn to all the lovely pieces that make playtime feel a bit more magical — whether that’s garden play, nursery play, or creating a cosy little corner at home.

New arrivals for playtime, quiet time and everything in between

One of the most exciting things recently has been the arrival of some beautiful new playroom and nursery pieces, including our gorgeous play tents and play mats. I love the idea of creating little spaces for children to hide away, imagine, read, play and just be themselves.

There is something so special about a play tent in a nursery, bedroom or playroom. It becomes a little den, a reading nook, a pretend house, a quiet space, or the perfect spot for favourite teddies and storybooks. They are such a lovely way to add a bit of magic to everyday play.

And of course, after all that playing, climbing, crawling, building and imagining, there’s nothing better than slowing things down with a good book.

That’s why I’m also really loving our book and toy gift sets at the moment.
