How Is It Mid-October Already?! 🎃🍂

Seriously, can someone tell me where this year has gone?! I'm sure it was only five minutes ago that we were enjoying the summer holidays, and now we're halfway through October, the evenings are drawing in, and I'm wondering whether it's socially acceptable to mention the C word yet… 🎄😂

As usual, life has been anything but quiet in our house!

My little girl has already had her Halloween disco, so spooky season is well and truly underway! 🎃 We've got some lovely little Halloween goodies at Love My Lot too, if you're looking for a little something to get into the spirit of things.

And speaking of big things happening, we've had a pretty huge milestone in our family recently.

My little boy started his specialist school in September. I'll be honest, the lead-up was an emotional rollercoaster for me. There were worries, fears, plenty of tears (mostly mine!) and so many questions about how he'd cope and whether it would be the right place for him.

But do you know what? He's absolutely thriving. ❤️

Seeing him so settled and happy, and knowing he's somewhere that understands him and his needs, has been the most wonderful feeling. After all the worrying, it finally feels like everything has come together. Sometimes the things we worry about the most turn out to be the very things that bring us the greatest relief.

So that's been a rather lovely chapter in our family life, and one I'm incredibly grateful for.

Meanwhile, Back at Love My Lot… 🧸

Of course, between school runs, family life and everything else that seems to fill the days, I've still been busy behind the scenes at Love My Lot!

We've had some gorgeous new arrivals, including lots of lovely cuddly characters and gift ideas. I do love this time of year for the shop. There's something so lovely about choosing little gifts for new babies, birthdays and, dare I say it… Christmas!

Yes, I've said it. The C word. In October. Sorry! 😂

I know some of you are already super-organised and have Christmas shopping well underway, while others (like me!) are still wondering how we've even reached autumn.

Either way, there's no rush. I'm just enjoying sharing all the lovely things arriving at Love My Lot and hoping they bring a little smile to someone's face.

Running a small business alongside family life is a constant juggling act, and every single order really does mean so much to me.
